Lameroo Town Centre Project
The Lameroo Town Centre Project aims to help revitalise the centre of Lameroo increasing its attraction as a commercial, social and recreational space for local residents and visitors. This will be achieved by adding or improving the amenities within the site as well as the functionality and layout of the area.
Stage 1
Stage 1 of the project delivered a new playground, a pump track and dog park. Construction is complete and the new recreational area is being highly utilised and enjoyed by residents and visitors. Stage 1 was funded by $500,000 of Commonwealth Drought Funding..
Stages 2 & 3
Stages 2 and 3 completed the surrounds of the recreational spaces through the addition of street trees, fencing, seating, an additional shelter, upgraded footpath, a new street crossing and other plantings and landscaping works. A RV and Caravan access road was constructed, and numerous tree plantings added throughout the open space areas. A new central plaza area has been developed though paving and landscaping around the CWA Hall. This stage is complete and was funded by the Commonwealth Building Better Regions Funding as well a commitment of $375,000 from Council.
