Coronavirus COVID-19 information - Important Updates

Community and Business responsibilities: COVID-Safe Plan

Community Services and Businesses that were previously directed to close and now reopened must complete a COVID-Safe Plan before they can reopen.

This Plan will outline how your staff and patrons can be kept safe from COVID-19. The plan must be completed and made available at your business premises. If your business was allowed to reopen during Step 1 of South Australia’s Roadmap to Recovery, you must complete a Plan before 1 June.

If your committee or group has not completed the COVID-Safe Plan, or does not have the plan available at your premises when requested, you can be fined up to $5000 on the sport for non-compliance, or face prosecution.

Please find the link to the COVID-19-Safe Plan Form here - https://www.covid-19.sa.gov.au/recovery/create-a-covid-safe-plan

Dolly's Golden Rain Tree Crafts and Heritage

Dolly's Golden Rain Tree Crafts & Heritage houses the Lameroo Craft Shop, the Lameroo & District Historical Society Museum and the Visitor Information Centre.

Browse through the beautifully kept shop which is stocked with an ever changing range of locally made quality craft, country cooking, sewing, knitting, art, woodcraft and souvenir lines, then enjoy morning or afternoon tea and a leisurely stroll around the museum.

Erected in 1911 the building was designed as a shop and dwelling. It was first used as a green grocery and then a saddler and leatherworker. The next occupant, besides mending harness, sold push bikes and motorcycles. The building then became a private home until converted for its current use.

Visitors enter through the Craft Shop where there is an excellent array of well priced and mostly locally made items for sale, including cakes, biscuits, jams and sauces, decorated tea towels, cushions, toiletries, cards, toys, jewellery, baby items and souvenirs just to name a few.

From the shop visitors then go into the Tourist Information Centre and Museum which has been set out to reflect early settlement of the area. There is a replica of an early Community Hall, Lutheran Chapel, Post Office, Bank and Shops as well as displays showing the Blacksmith, Farming, Mechanical and other aspects of life in a small town.
Almost all the items on display in the museum have been donated and/or collected within the Lameroo area.
