Public Consultation - Draft Strategic Plan

Council has resolved to undertake public consultation on the draft Southern Mallee Strategic Plan 2021-25.

The draft strategic plan is now available below:

Draft Strategic Plan 2021-25

The draft strategic plan is important because it outlines Council's vision and objectives for the four year period ahead. This includes the legislated requirements of Council, the core functions of Council and the key advocacy items and priority areas that contribute to ensuring a positive future for the district.

Council’s strategic plan identifies five goals that reflect Council and the community’s aspiration for the future. Each of the goals have associated strategies and priorities to achieve; the goals are:

  • Goal 1. An engaged community
  • Goal 2. Diverse and prosperous economy
  • Goal 3. Sustainable infrastructure and services
  • Goal 4. Governance and organisational culture
  • Goal 5. Advocacy and working with others

You are invited to make a submission on this matter by 8 January 2021.All submissions will be considered by Council and may be included in an agenda for a meeting of the Council that will be made available to the public.

Written submissions are to be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, and may be;

  • emailed to council@southernmallee.sa.gov.au
  • hand delivered to Council’s offices at Day Street, Pinnaroo or Railway Terrace North, Lameroo, or
