SA Online Planning and Design Code

17th July 2020

The Planning and Design Code (the Code) is the cornerstone of South Australia’s new planning and development system and will offer a single set of planning policies for assessing applications across the state.

To ensure that all South Australians are confident and familiar with the new planning system, access to the online Code is now available for communities in Phase One (Outback Areas) and Phase Two (Rural Areas) via the new ePlanning platform.

The Code is scheduled to go live across rural South Australia on 31 July 2020.

A series of community webinars to support the public familiarisation stage for the online Code (Outback and Rural Areas) will be held in July.

The webinars are designed to help the community access and engage with the online Code, understand how to navigate the ePlanning system and how the Code applies to rural South Australia. It will also demonstrate the South Australian Property and Planning Atlas.

Community members can register via Eventbrite or the SA Planning Portal Events Calendar. Additional webinars have also been designed specifically for accredited professionals and councils and can also be accessed via Eventbrite and the SA Planning Portal.
