M urray Mallee Community Transport Scheme (MMCTS)

MMCTS is a part of a state-wide Community Passenger Network (CPN) and was established in January 1997 to assist residents in the Mallee region by coordinating and brokering transport services. This service operates to assist those who are transport disadvantaged (assessment criteria applies) and are without access to suitable transport and in genuine need of a means to travel within the region and to Adelaide. At least 3 working days' notice is required and a fee for service applies.

A not for profit organisation utilising volunteer drivers and is supported by the Commonwealth Home and Community Care Program, the Department for Communities and Social Inclusion, the Department of Planning Transport and Infrastructure - Public Transport Services, Coorong District Council, Southern Mallee District Council and District Council of Karoonda East Murray.


Murray-Mallee Medical Service 

A wheelchair-accessible Medical Service is available and operates Monday - Friday (excluding public holidays) Appointments in Adelaide need to be between the hours of 11am - 2pm. Fees do apply, however free travel for a carer or travel companion is available. At least 3 working days’ notice is required. This service is operated by Coorong Coaches; with bookings through the Murray Mallee Community Transport Scheme.
