Pinnaroo Kindergarten

Three sessions of pre-school are offered on a weekly basis - Monday mornings and all day Wednesdays.

Pinnaroo Kindergarten is a stand-alone centre located at 6 Railway Terrace North PINNAROO. The Kindergarten comprises a well equipped, purpose-built brick building with a spacious outdoor area. An exciting and spacious ?natural? playground features a shady forest area, large sandpit and tunnel / mound complex. The Kindergarten was built in 1975 and is now well established with excellent facilities and equipment. A DIRECTOR and an EARLY CHILDHOOD WORKER staff the centre. Enrolments of children ranging in age from 3.5 to 5.0 years vary from 15 to 20. Children from outlying farms use school buses to access our service. We offer a high quality EARLY CHILDHOOD CURRICULUM based on the SACSA framework. Our program has a strong literacy and numeracy focus. An excellent TRANSITION program ensures children settle quickly into school routines. PLAYGROUP meets every Friday at the Kindergarten, and the Child and Youth Health nurse provides health checks for school starters. The Kindergarten has a high level of community support and involvement and close links with the Primary School and Community Library. We provide valuable educational and social opportunities for families with young children in the eastern mallee region. A friendly ?family? atmosphere and open-door policy encourages participation by everyone.
