Pinnaroo Community Library is a combination of school & public library. It was established in 1977 & was the first such library in South Australia. The library, which is located on the grounds of the Pinnaroo Primary School, has access to the collections of public libraries across the state, including the State Library & the collection of the S.A. Video & Film Library, via PLAIN (Public Libraries Automated Information Network). Community libraries are jointly funded by Local Government, State Government, & The Department of Education, Training & Employment. The local collection includes fiction (both adults & childrens), non-fiction, large print books, magazines, cds, cd-roms, videos, audiocassettes & community information. Membership is free & open to local residents. Internet access & word processing is available via PLAIN & the local Telecentre which also offers faxing, binding, photocopying, laminating, colour printing, cd burning & scanning services & hire facility for digital camera, video camera, TV/video, public address system & electronic whiteboard.
